#10: The ECAC receives a $1M grant from the Betty Wold Johnson Foundation and will partner with the New York Jets to launch a new women’s flag football league this spring, culminating in a championship game at MetLife Stadium. New York Jets Chairman Woody Johnson: “Empowering young women through football has always been central to our mission. Partnering with the ECAC to launch this league creates a clear pathway for student-athletes to compete, grow, and lead—on the field and beyond. The Jets ECAC Women’s Flag Football League builds on the success of our high school girls’ flag program, which opened doors for thousands of athletes across the region. ➤ President Donald Trump has issued a statement of administration policy endorsing the SCORE Act that reads in part: “The Administration supports passage of H.R. 4312. … The SCORE Act advances key priorities identified in Executive Order 14322 and is a crucial step toward enacting legislation that will preserve and strengthen this institution that is central to American culture and success.
