Indiana Wesleyan signs a multi-year, seven-figure media rights deal with Urban Edge Network to stream IWU’s contests for free in what is the largest media rights agreement for a single school in the NAIA. Starting this spring, all Wildcats uniforms will have the UEN fifth anniversary logo patch. The deal will also allow IWU to hire full-time ACs for the first time in seven programs. Saint Francis (IN) promotes AD Mike McCaffrey to VP for Student Life and Athletics and Softball HC Ryan Bolyn to Asst. AD. EVP Maria Gemma Sayler: “Mike is a man of faith who has demonstrated his love for the university and his ability to lead with integrity. During his long career at Saint Francis, he has led our athletic department through its most successful period, both within competitions and in the classroom. On the fifth year of eligibility proposal: “We've been saying quite a bit that the devil's in the details and there's so many what ifs in terms of semesters and scholarship limits and all of those kind of things, but I do genuinely believe it's going to happen. So the mindset we've kind of been taking here at Penn is how do we take a proactive approach to the situation and put ourselves in a position to be successful when that situation does arise because I do think it's coming.” Asked about JV programs, Farris: “We're always looking for ways that we can grow roster sizes and grow enrollment ultimately, but you have to make sure that those student athletes feel valued. … If we have the roster sizes to do it, we're going to do it. I think it comes back to the kids want to play. That's why they come here. That's why they accept the scholarship that we offer and they want to be on the field or court, whatever sport it might be. St. Thomas will begin work on an expansion of AutoNation Field with around 2K seats in a shaded grandstand and two-story suite area set to be ready before the 2026-27 academic year. President David Armstrong: “The start of construction on our new stadium is a testament to the hard work and success of our student-athletes, coaches, and Athletics staff.
