The CSAC and United East will officially merge July 1, following the initial announcement this past December of intent to merge. The 17-member entity will retain the United East name and brand. UEC Commissioner Dutton will remain in the role, while CSAC Commissioner Stroman will pursue other opportunities. During the 2023-24 transition year, eight sports will utilize previously-approved league schedules, while the remainder will compete in a unified structure. 3 Fold Group will assist with development of scheduling and championship structures for 2024-25 and beyond. Cabrini will be sold to Villanova and cease as an individual entity after the 2023-24 academic year, per D3Sports’ Coleman and McHugh. The duo report: “An official announcement is expected once Villanova’s full Board of Trustees votes. The plan has already been approved by a board committee. […] Villanova is expected to use the acquisition to house its law school, meaning the campus … will host undergraduates no longer.“(link)

Pratt will exit the Coast-to-Coast and join the Atlantic East starting in 2024-25, becoming the conference's eighth full-time member. Further interest rate increases are "a pretty good guess" of what the Federal Reserve will do if the economy continues in its current direction, Fed Chair Powell said in remarks on Wednesday to lawmakers on Capitol Hill. Powell told members of the House Financial Services Committee he would not characterize the Fed's recent decision to hold interest rates steady as a "pause," and noted the fact that a majority of policymakers see two more quarter-point rate increases as likely by the end of the year.
