The Athletic takes a look at college dodgeball, which has seen Grand Valley State win 11 of 17 National Collegiate Dodgeball Association championships, and what future growth of the sport could look like. The campus club’s recruiting efforts included campus activity fairs, as well as communicating with GVSU Baseball regarding strong-armed players who did not make the team. NCDA Director of Content and GVSU alum Bailey: “We think about dodgeball as the best sport so many people have never heard of or don’t realize that it’s more than just that thing from the movie or from gym class. It’s an actual competitive sport. [...] I’m pumped because I know that in a decade it’s going to be spanning across the country in every school.
