#5: Keene State selects sport management clinical assistant professor Testo as its new AD, starting July 24. Testo is a former Baseball AC and Admissions Counselor for the Owls. #3: Otterbein selects Denison Assoc. AD/Director of the Knetzer Family Institute for Development through Sport Lott as its new AD. President Comerford: "Greg Lott brings a unique combination of skills and experiences to Otterbein. He has a background in administration and academics and has extensive experience as an athlete and coach. As a leader, he understands how to collaborate toward the shared institutional goal of developing successful student-athletes. #2: Rutgers will pay $2.8M to settle a lawsuit brought by former Rutgers-Newark WBB HC Morris and seven former student-athletes over discriminatory and derogatory comments made by AD Griffin and former WBB Interim HC Zasowski. Six of the student-athletes were awarded $1M for emotional distress, with Morris, who was dropped from the lawsuit stating: “Do I feel vindicated by this? I do. This is an amazing number and justified.’' (link)

#1: The Landmark Conference has inked a five-year, seven-figure media rights deal with FloSports that will be announced later today, per Extra Points' Brown, who adds: "This deal is believed to be the largest broadcast contract for a D-III athletic conference." Commissioner Boldvich: “It’s so rare to have an opportunity that someone comes at you and says, ‘We want to pay you significantly for something you're already doing. So the exciting thing about the partnership is to think about, ‘Okay, we're gonna have an opportunity to pump additional dollars in a sports information department that we otherwise wouldn't be able to. we're talking new equipment, new resources, maybe additional personnel, even in like a part-time intern kind of status. Those are things that wouldn't be happening without these partnerships.” (link)
