Alderson Broaddus has been stripped of its ability to award degrees by the state Higher Education Policy Commission, by unanimous vote. The ruling calls for the university to wind down operations by not returning any current students this fall except for those scheduled to graduate, not accept any new students, terminate athletic activities and begin developing teach-out programs, among others.
