#10: Huntingdon will add Women’s Flag Football for competition beginning in 2024-25. President Cameron West: “Since our founding in 1854, Huntingdon has been at the forefront of advancing educational opportunities for women, including more recently such athletic programs as Lacrosse, Beach Volleyball, Cross Country, Golf, Track and Field, and Wrestling. Now, we build on that tradition with the introduction of Women's Flag Football.” The Hawks named Bethel (KS) (NAIA) HC Angela Rowe as the new program’s inaugural leader. (link)

#9: RPI introduced newly appointed AD Kristie Bowers, who said during her introductory remarks: “When I think about my journey as a student-athlete, as a coach and an athletic administrator, a lot of the schools that I’ve been a part of have had a similar vein of academic excellence with athletic excellence. RPI fits that. It’s also an incredible community. I think that throughout the search process, the opportunity to meet community members and really understand the passion for success here at RPI sealed the deal for me that this is the place I should be.” RPI President Martin Schmidt on Bowers’ selection: “The issue is really, how do you have success both at the DIII and DI level in a way that’s equitable and supports each program against their competition. So I think having had the experiences at the DI level is what she gets and I think she has to learn more about how the DIII operates, but I have no concerns there. Bringing that familiarity with DI, particularly at a place like BU, with a really strong hockey program, is going to help us a lot.” (link)
