We started the second day of CAST in Salinas. Our first stop at American Takii was full of striking colors in flowers and foliage with the petunia Trilogy series and contrasting canna additions. Also at the stop, HilverdaFlorist brought intense colors to the trials with additions to its salvia Salgoon and garden gerbera Garvinea series.
Sakata gave us an afternoon tour of new colors in favorite series like SuperCal petunias and Viking begonias. Also on display were Kientzler’s new varieties.
Rounding out the day, we headed to Dümmen Orange’s new vineyard location in Arroyo Grande. See many of their new introductions below.

CAST Day 2 Retail Inspiration
|
Color was the name of the game for Day 2, starting with American Takii’s geometric petunia display, moving to Sakata’s SuperCal stunner and later to Dümmen Orange’s verbena candy bar. Displays from each of these breeders also made full use of the vertical space both in the greenhouse and under the tents.
