#4: Minot State will eliminate its AD position and have athletics fall under the oversight of VP for Student Affairs Kevin Harmon, who has been serving as Interim AD since January. Harmon will now serve as VP for Student Affairs and Intercollegiate Athletics. President Steve Shirley: “Kevin has deep and long-standing ties to Minot State University going back to his days as a Beaver student-athlete, coupled with a distinguished career as a senior administrator on campus. He has guided both areas with a steady hand this winter, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with Kevin in his new role at MSU.” (link)

#3: Lincoln (MO) VP of Advancement, Athletics and Campus Recreation Kevin Wilson will step down at the end of the month to become a tenure track Assistant Professor of Sport Management/eSports Coordinator at Benedict. Acting President Stevie Lawrence: “While it is hard to see a member of our university family move on, we are excited for Dr. Wilson and his family for their new opportunity. We will spend the next several weeks working with him to finalize or evaluate the progress of any projects on which he currently working. #2: The GNAC will elevate Assoc. Commissioner/SWA Bridget Johnson Tetteh to succeed Commissioner Dave Haglund, starting July 1. Montana State Billings Chancellor/GNAC Board Chair Stefani Hicswa: “Bridget has the qualifications and expertise to excel in this position. #1: Findlay announces its plans to merge with Bluffton (DIII), starting in 2025-26. From the university: “Through this merger, the universities would position themselves to provide increased educational opportunities that prepare current and future students to lead and serve in their local communities and beyond. Students and employees would benefit from access to expanded resources on both campuses located 20 miles apart in Northwest Ohio. A goal of the proposed merger is to innovate in response to the changing climate of higher education while honoring individual campus traditions.” Pending NCAA approval after the merger is complete, both institutions would continue to operate their own athletics programs.
