Warner selects Men's Basketball HC Sean Hanrahan as the Royals' next AD. President David Hoag: “Sean has devoted 18 years of faithful service to Warner University. New William Carey AD/Women’s Basketball HC Tracy English sits down with CrusaderTalk about his move to the permanent chair, which was not his original intention when taking over as the interim. As for what changed his mind about the job, he credits the staff helping lead WCU athletics, former AD DJ Pulley and that he “got to understand how I was helping the whole program by doing what I was doing. I didn’t think I wanted to do it and figured out real quick that I was enjoying it and able to help the program better than I thought.” Another key piece was the sustained success the Crusaders have enjoyed under Pulley. “We’ve won how many Commissioner’s Cups? And we’re in line to maybe do it again, so there’s success and the way we do things and so I was able to step into that position and follow his blueprint to keep it going. The coaches I mean, they know what to expect with him and now they know what to expect with me because I just fell right in and I was in the office with him before so I knew what they expected and I knew what I was looking for out of them and it just just loaded right along.” (link) 

Bethany (KS) says it will not enforce the association’s transgender policy, stating in an email to campus: “The policy hinges on self-reporting by individual students and institutions. At Bethany, we will not be requiring our student-athletes to prove their biological sex.” (link)

Ottawa (AZ) Men’s Basketball HC Matt Keeley will depart for the same position at Northwest Missouri State (NCAA DII) after seven seasons. Assoc. HC Cale Brubaker will serve as Interim HC. AD Kevin Steele: “I am incredibly pleased to announce that Cale Brubaker has been appointed as Interim Head Coach of our Spirit Men's Basketball program, with every intent to remove the interim tag as soon as we complete some internal processes. Cale was an integral part of the most successful years in the history of this program. He is a gifted young man whose talent is only surpassed by his goodness as a Christian man. Southeastern taps MidAmerica Nazarene Men’s Basketball AC Hudson Felty to lead the Fire. AD Drew Watson: “Hudson stood out in a field of very qualified candidates because of who he is as a person, his approach to coaching, and his pedigree. He is a man of faith who cares very much about doing things with excellence; from recruiting, to investing in his student-athletes, to his focus on the details of the game.” (link)

Tennessee Wesleyan selects prep coach Randy Casey as the Bulldogs’ new Men’s Basketball HC. AD Donny Mayfield: “During our search, Coach Casey was a candidate that impressed us with his commitment to building a championship-caliber team while maintaining the character and academic standards that have been established in our athletic department. We have a great foundation of success for our men's basketball program, and Coach Casey has shown in his career the ability to elevate the level of play in his student-athletes.” (link)
