The American Flame Research Committee’s (AFRC) 2021 Annual Industrial Combustion Symposium will be held in person from October 10 - 12, at the Whitehall Hotel in downtown Houston.
The Symposium: Provides a forum for combustion professionals to explore applied combustion technology and research.
Vance Varner, president of AFRC , is pleased the Symposium will be a live event this year:
"This year’s Symposium will provide a great opportunity for combustion experts to gather together again in person, following the virtual conference last year. There will be a variety of topics presented, as well as a special discussion on thermal oxidizers. Houston was selected as the location for this year to give the best opportunity for high attendance. We look forward to visiting and sharing together.”
What To Expect: From fundamental research to laboratory, pilot and full-scale testing; from computer simulations to industrial applications; from combustion equipment design to operation, maintenance and troubleshooting, this informative event will benefit those who work with any type of combustion equipment.
Technical Presentations, Sessions, and More: The 2021 Symposium features nearly twenty technical presentations and a special session on thermal oxidizers with expert panelists and open discussion time. AFRC will also conduct their annual business meeting during the Symposium.
Network and Connect: Attendees will have ample time to interact with their peers and the presenters during a welcome reception and the Symposium dinner. Registration includes admission to the Symposium sessions, the AFRC business meeting, the welcome reception, continental breakfast, lunch and breaks each day, the Symposium dinner, and access to the papers online after the conclusion of the Symposium.
