#5: College of Staten Island AD Chase Licata will depart after nearly two years in the chair to take a position at Columbia (DI). Licata: “In a short time, we have grown as an Athletics Department together in the Division II era. The hard work from our coaches and athletic administrators was evident. The passion of our coaches was on full display 24/7 as well. Our athletic support groups across campus have also contributed to make this journey wonderful. The work that we have accomplished has been satisfying, but there is work to still be done. I believe that CSI Athletics is on the way up and will make a huge impact on the ECC in the next few years.” (link)

#4: Davis & Elkins selects Director of Compliance/Assoc. Professor of Sport Science Jennifer Riggleman as its next AD, starting July 1. President Chris Wood: “Dr. Riggleman is ideal to step into this important role at Davis and Elkins. As a faculty member, she is highly respected by colleagues and students alike. She has been working with the Athletic Department for several years as both Faculty Athletics Representative and Compliance Officer and is held in highest esteem by our coaches. #3: Lees-McRae names Hampden-Sydney (DIII) Assoc. AD/former Football HC Marty Favret as the new AD. President Lee King: “When we started our national search for a new leader for Bobcat athletics, it was important to me that we find a proven winner, recruiter, and a veteran coach who can develop and mentor our coaching staff. We also sought a leader who can inspire our athletic department to a new peak of excellence and performance. We found that leader in Marty Favret and I am thrilled to welcome him to Lees-McRae." #2: Thomas Jefferson names Knox (DIII) AD Corey Goff to the same role with the Rams, starting August 5. President Susan Aldridge: “While the University will not soon forget everything that Tom Shirley contributed to our athletics program, I am very excited to welcome Corey Goff to Jefferson as our new Athletic Director. Corey's personal ties to Pennsylvania are not only deep, but his decades spent as an athlete, coach and Director of Athletics speak to a passion that I am certain will benefit Rams student-athletes and the Jefferson community as a whole. #1: Dave Campbell’s Texas Football’s Cory Hogue reports the West Texas A&M AD search is down to three finalists: one RMAC AD, one LSC AD and one internal candidate. Hogue adding: “Other sources indicate that on-campus visits have yet to occur, and some hesitancy remains about the finalists. Some influential supporters close to the university were surprised that more candidates did not apply for the position and are seeking to ensure WT makes the best choice for future success.” (link)
