#9: Wisconsin-Stevens Point officially rolls out a new, expanded premium seating option, the Pointer Premium Experience. The PPE includes a three-course meal and beverages in a courtside dining space for 90 individuals. AD Brad Duckworth notes the experience was soft launched last season with UWSP selling out the back half of the season, adding: “We needed to think about different ways [for fans] to experience Pointer athletics including men’s basketball. So we started to think about how we could make a special atmosphere through a unique, exclusive area.” As of this week, the Pointers have sold 75 season tickets at $455 a piece. (link)

AD Laura Mooney: “Will's experience, proven track record of success, passion for the game and his profession, clearly stood out in our nationwide search. #4: Redlands AD Jeff Martinez will retire in May 2025 after a quarter-century leading the Bulldogs and more than four decades with the university. Martinez: “Bulldog Athletics has never been just a job; it has been a way of life for Susan, me, and the kids. We feel so fortunate to have been a part of our university and the Redlands community for the past 40-plus years. I will be forever grateful to Ted Runner who brought us into the Bulldog family and [former] President Jim Appleton, who believed in my potential and gave me the opportunity to provide leadership to Bulldog Athletics.” Parker Executive Search has been selected to assist with the search process, which will be chaired by VP of Enrollment Kevin Dyerly. #2: The NCAA unveiled the host sites for the 2026-2028 championships, as the association shifts from a four-year to two-year cycle. The Stagg Bowl will return to Salem Stadium in 2027, before moving to Canton, Ohio and Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in 2028. The Women’s Basketball Finals will be held in Cedar Falls, IA in 2027, with the 2028 Semifinals to take place in Salem, VA, with the 2028 championship in Indianapolis as part of the joint WBB championship. On the Men’s side, the 2027 and 2028 finals will be held in Pittsburgh, PA at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. Full list. (link)
