#7: Among a series of measures, the DIII Management Council voted to adopt legislation to eliminate the requirement that playing rules be the same for all three divisions, extended the blanket relief of the full-time enrollment legislation for all student-athletes who earned season-of-participation relief due to the COVID-19 pandemic, voted to support the formation of a working group to identify the issues impacting DIII schools' ability to hire and retain athletic trainers, approved the process for hiring a third-party vendor to conduct an assessment of the DIII Enrichment Fund initiatives, programs and resources and supported sponsoring 2024 Convention legislation to add stunt as an emerging sport for women. #5: Stevenson AD Adams sits down with PressBox Sports’ Charles about the university’s 117-acre East Campus, which was dedicated earlier this month. The complex includes an outdoor track & field complex, field hockey turf, fields for baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse and more. Further, the track is a state-of-the-art Beynon surface and the two soccer fields are made of Bermuda grass, allowing Stevenson to be a part of the FIFA World Cup bid. Even with construction continuing at the East Campus, Adams sees a new hockey rink for the Mustangs’ two NCAA hockey and two ACHA teams as a possibility in the future. More. (link)

#1: Colby-Sawyer AD Capelle will step down next month. CSC President Stuebner: "We thank Mitch for his three years of service to Colby-Sawyer. Two of his years were spent leading the department during the pandemic when athletics competition was extremely limited and many decisions had to be made about our student-athletes' safety, crowd control, and how to compete within an unprecedented environment. His collaboration with our sports information director helped raise the media profile of our athletics program in general and the individual and collective accomplishments of our student-athletes."
