#8: The CUNYAC will add NJCU as part of “an expanded and newly-formed NCAA Division IIIconference to begin play in the 2027-28 academic year.” CUNYAC Commissioner Kurt Patberg: “This is the first step of several of adding Division III institutions that seek to compete in a conference that has a special emphasis on New York City and the five boroughs.” The Gothic Knights will depart the NJAC after the 2025-26 academic year and join the CUNYAC as an affiliate member in most sports for 2026-27. NJCU AD Robert Cole: “By joining the CUNYAC as affiliate members in most sports in 2026-27 and becoming a founding member of the new league the following year, we are positioning our student-athletes to compete on one of the biggest stages in the world—the New York City media market. This alignment not only extends our brand across the Hudson River, but also opens the door to shared resources, institutional partnerships with similar student populations, and access to invaluable opportunities in professional development, internships, and networking that were previously untapped. #6: Kentucky Wesleyan names Sweet Briar (DIII) AD Jason Vittone as the Panthers’ new VP of Athletics, effective June 15. President James Cousins: “Jason's fundraising expertise, broad and wide-ranging institutional experience, and his familiarity with Owensboro give him the unique ability to lead Kentucky Wesleyan athletics into its next chapter. Jason's collegial and collaborative leadership style will be well received by everyone within our extended campus community.” (link)

#5: Mount Union rolls out a new set of logos with the help of CLC. On the rebrand: “The introduction of the sword, crest, and script logos complements Mount Union's block-M, honoring tradition while propelling the institution into the future. The focus of the project was to build upon an established brand rooted in tradition while resharpening its sword, looking ahead with the same championship mindset.” AD Mike Parnell: “Our athletic branding across all sports needed a more consistent image to represent the rich history and forward vision of Mount Union athletics. This new approach simplifies and aligns our identity across all of our sports programs with a renewed focus on excellence.” (link)

#3: Gettysburg AD Mike Mattia will depart at the end of the academic year after seven years leading the Bullets. VP for Enrollment and Educational Services Carey Thompson: “During his time at Gettysburg, Mike has left an indelible mark on our athletics and recreation programs. Under his leadership, our teams have captured 12 Centennial Conference championships. In the past three years alone, Mike has overseen the recruitment of a new generation of outstanding head coaches, following the retirement of a few longstanding leaders within our program. […] I thank Mike for his dedicated service to Gettysburg College and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.” (link)

Misericordia President/MAC Executive Committee Chair Dan Myers: “Neumann is well positioned within the MAC footprint and brings a holistic approach to developing student-athletes that fits well with the MAC values. #1: The SLIAC selects MAC Assoc. Executive Director Chassidy Holloway as its next commissioner, starting August 1. Westminster (MO) President Donald Lofe, Jr.: “There were many outstanding candidates within the final pool of applicants for the commissioner's position. Each individual finalist had multiple strong points; however Chassidy Holloway continually rose to the top of the candidate group. Her continued development and success within her position at the Midwest Conference as well as her knowledge and experience at the national level were extraordinary. The SLIAC President's Council is extremely excited about the ability to hire Chassidy, and we all are looking forward to her leading and enhancing the overall stature of the SLIAC in the coming years.” (link)
