Anachel CEO Cecil joins SBJ’s Elrod from the Game Changers conference in New York, where she talks about the impact social media has had on sports. “Like everything else, it has its positive and negative. For me and what I do, it completely changed my business. For the negative, we used to have 24 hours to respond to a crisis…today, we have less than 30 seconds. So, a penny of prevention’s worth a pound of cure for me. For me, I use digital technology positively that I’m able to tap in today to analytics. … So, if you say that’s white, and I say that’s cream, and a million people tell us that’s yellow, we’re going to say it’s yellow.” Asked what her first piece of advice is when confronted with a crisis, Cecil explains: “Number one, I think when people come to me they understand that I’m not in the judgment business, I’m in the fixer business.” Lots more.
