#6: New Haven Football HC Chris Pincince has reportedly exited per FootballScoop’s John Brice, who adds: “Sources told FootballScoop on Monday that internally within the football program there had been a desire to play a reduced schedule in the fall in order to ‘preserve redshirts’ for players as New Haven transitioned from D-2 to FCS.” DC Mark Powell will serve as Interim HC. #5: Lock Haven removes the interim tag from AD Albert Jones, who has been leading the Bald Eagles since August 2024 after serving as the university’s chief DEI officer. President Bashar Hanna: “Albert's commitment, enthusiasm, and drive for Lock Haven athletics, the campus, and the local community are truly admirable. His leadership and dedication will continue to support the success of our student-athletes. This is a meaningful time for Lock Haven athletics, and I'm confident Albert will be a steady and impactful presence.” (link)

#4: Christian Brothers and Lewis have signed a letter of intent for a formal partnership between the two schools over 500 miles apart. Lewis President David Livingston: “With Memphis being home to industry leaders in distribution, engineering, transportation, technology, and healthcare, this potential partnership allows us to explore new ways to meet regional needs. By leveraging our complementary strengths, we believe there is potential to extend the impact of the Lasallian mission beyond what either of us could achieve alone.” A new partnership would not go into effect until fall 2026 at the earliest. Next steps: “Over the coming months, CBU and Lewis University will engage in a comprehensive evaluation process, including forums, listening sessions, and strategic planning. … A decision on whether to move forward with a full agreement is expected later this fall, with implementation details worked out during the 2025–26 academic year.” At the moment, the only note on athletics is that all teams and student-athletes will compete through 2025-26 without changes. #3: Bluefield State selects Arkansas-Pine Bluff (DI) Executive Senior Assoc. AD for Compliance and Student-Athlete Academic Success Brodderick Tucker as its new AD. President Darrin Martin: “His leadership, integrity, and passion for student-athlete success align perfectly with our vision for the future of Bluefield State University Athletics. I'm confident he will build on our momentum and help take our programs to the next level—both on the field and in the classroom.” (link)

#2: Shepherd has been hit with two years of probation, a vacation of records in ten sports and a $5K fine for eligibility certification and financial aid violations. Over a two-year period, 44 student-athletes competed in 265 contests while ineligible or not properly certified, over $5K in scholarships was awarded above legislated limits and SU did not notify 282 student-athletes of the renewal or nonrenewal of scholarships ahead of the NCAA deadline.
