Edward Waters AD Rich talks to Andscape about her career path and her goals for her new role: “My No. 1 goal is to make sure that we transition successfully into Division II. ... My first step is evaluating the resources we have and see where we can add more, just ensuring that my student-athletes have the resources to be successful, whether that be academic support, tutors, advisers, as well as mental health resources. ... From a long-term standpoint, I’m thinking about creating a powerhouse … From a competitive standpoint, I want us to be finishing [in] the top three in the conference. Opendorse has raised a $20M funding round from investors including Flyover Capital, Serra Ventures, Advantage Capital and others. CEO Lawrence: “The NIL industry is driving toward consolidation. Schools, collectives, and rights holders now know that a unified approach is the most effective path forward. With these parties working in concert, a $10B annual market is a reality. Opendorse raised this round to deliver the NIL connectivity that student-athletes and their supporting parties need to succeed.” Per On3, Opendorse’s total funding now sits at roughly $40M.
