Beloit AD/Baseball HC Dave DeGeorge will step down as AD to focus on coaching, after being asked by institutional leadership to focus solely on AD duties. DeGeorge: “I picked baseball and I am going to remain as head coach. I will remain the athletic director until a new one is hired and in place. Then I'll be an assistant to the new AD. […] [President Eric Boynton] really wants an athletic director who is 100 percent AD and not someone split between AD and coaching. We have more coaches and more (athletic) programs and we've never had as many athletes as we do now. He feels this is the right time to do this. I think the world of Eric Boynton. He is a great guy and has nothing but the best for Beloit College on his mind. Baseball is my passion and my love. When a choice was presented to me, that's what I wanted to do. I'm excited about the future.” (link)
