#7: Effective September 1, Jessup, Thomas More, USC Beaufort and Vanguard will become full DII members, with the division’s total membership growing to 293. Roosevelt, Sul Ross State, Jamestown, UC Merced and UT Dallas have all advanced to their final year of their provisional membership process. Middle Georgia State (NAIA) has been accepted into the process. The DII Membership Committee did recommend Menlo repeat its second year of the three-year provisional process in 2025-26. (link)

#6: The College Sports Commission has released a list of all participating schools that have opted into revenue sharing, which includes the following DII schools that compete in DI for certain sports: Augusta, Dallas Baptist, Lake Superior State, Michigan Tech, Minnesota Duluth, Minnesota State and St. Cloud State. #4: Ferrum faculty issued a vote of no confidence in President Mirta Martin back in May over a lack of transparency and shared governance, toxic work environment, institutional mismanagement and more. The Board of Trustees has issued a unanimous vote of confidence in response to the 87% faculty vote. (link)

#3: The PacWest names former Academy of Art & BYU-Hawaii AD Brad Jones as its next commissioner. Westmont President/PacWest Executive Board Chair Gayle Beebe: “I’m delighted to introduce Brad Jones as the next Commissioner of the PacWest Conference. Brad brings a wealth of experience and is a seasoned veteran of intercollegiate athletics. We're particularly pleased with Brad's legacy of significant contributions both within the Academy of Art itself as well as within the broader work of the PacWest Conference. We anticipate a long and positive contribution to the overall health and vitality of the Conference.” (link)

#2: Jessup AD Lance Von Vogt will step down at the end of the month after a dozen years in Rocklin. President John Jackson: “Lance has faithfully served Jessup for the past 12 years, bringing vision, energy, and unwavering dedication to our mission. As a member of both the Senior Leadership Team and the Executive Team, his impact has extended well beyond the Athletics Department. […] Under Lance's leadership, Jessup Athletics experienced unprecedented growth and competitive success. These milestones would not have been possible without his strategic leadership and commitment to excellence.” Assoc. AD Scott Sorgea will serve as Interim AD. (link)

#1: Bloomfield will transition to the USCAA, following the college’s merger with Montclair State (DIII). The Bears will continue to sponsor Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer and Softball. Montclair Vice President for Student Development and Campus Life Dawn Soufleris: “This move allows us to preserve and reimagine Bloomfield's athletics legacy in a way that reflects both our commitment to student opportunity and our responsibility to sustainability.
