Here’s some more data from the NCAA’s FY21 tax forms: The association ended FY21 $78.3M in the black after ending FY20 with a $51M deficit. Additionally, the NCAA paid four law firms a total of more than $13.85M for the year, and the expenses report indicates it paid $52.45M in legal services fees. Also, the association brought in $93M in insurance recovery revenue, spent $470K on lobbying, ended the year with $326M in publicly traded securities (down from $405M at the beginning of the year) and $337.8M in other securities (up from $182.8M at the beginning of the year). Further data shows the NCAA secured $16.68M in bank loans and ended the fiscal year with $516.1M in endowment funds, marking the highest total in the last five years. Here’s the full filing. (link)
