#10: Auburn Deputy AD for External Affairs Rhett Hobart explains the north end zone video board at Jordan-Hare Stadium looks incomplete underneath because the planned multi-use facility and premium seating will fill up that space. “We’ve been very intentional in this project. We have much larger aspirations for that north end zone. And for us it was important that we did not design this video board in a shortsighted manner to get a video board there, get it built, have it running. … We designed that north board with the entire north end zone expansion in mind. So, yes, it looks maybe a little big high right now and a little bit unique, but I want you to picture in the future that all being filled in.” (link)

WCC Commissioner Stu Jackson: “We continually identify valuable opportunities to expand our membership, and the addition of UC San Diego greatly aligns with the goals of the West Coast Conference. UC San Diego’s meteoric rise during its recent NCAA Division I transition is the result of strong leadership, strategic investment and deliberate planning for postseason success. The Tritons align with our West Coast identity and serve to strengthen the academic profile of the conference.
